Ikebana event - May 22nd
4:30-6:30, outdoors on 8th St. NW between D and E Streets

The Penn Quarter FRESFARM Market is proud to host a demonstration and show of Ikenobo, the original form Ikebana (Japanese flower arranging) which began in Kyoto, Japan almost 600 years ago. Like a poem or painting made with flowers, Ikenobo Ikebana expresses both the beauty of flowers and the feelings in our own heart. Its beauty and serenity are appreciated and enjoyed the world over. The Potomac Valley Chapter of the Ikenobo Ikebana Society will conduct the demonstration.
